Our Community

MPG is well-connected through its community and unique position as an Indigenous economic development corporation that is not tied to a physical territory.

Instead, we have grown through a shared heritage of resilience and movement that surmounts the limitations of traditional borders.

While other Indigenous development corporations operate within their delineated territories and the resources they contain, MPG centers its lens toward national and global connections, using our experience and knowledge as business leaders, entrepreneurs, and proud Métis to guide new partners through Canadian waters.

We are experts at navigating and liaising with all levels of government and legal systems to achieve new precedents and unlock potential.

By leveraging our skillset and position as the representative of over 30,000 registered Métis Citizens and an advocate for over 114,000 self-identified Métis in British Columbia, MPG is a partner of opportunity, expansion, and unlimited potential.

Our Values

Our values guide our actions at every stage of business.

Resilience

As Métis people, we are built for long-term, complex relationships, adapting to changing circumstances to find solutions. We are resourceful, persistent, and grounded in our history as resilient people. We have faced many challenges, yet, like our ancestors, we continue to persevere while staying rooted in our identity, our values, and our responsibilities to the Métis Nation. At this new stage of resilience, MPG serves as a platform for growth and development beyond the margins.

Integrity

It is our practice to do the right thing for our Citizens and our partners, committing to our values as people who are reliable and honest in all aspects of business. We do what we say and say what we mean.

Innovation

We are innovators. As Métis, we are in a constant state of adaptation to modern practices and systems, while being rooted in tradition. We are well-experienced in bridging the traditional with the modern to do things differently and create new value. Innovation is a practice of finding the solution that best fits the problem, even if the path is unexpected. We know how to look at all sides of an issue and see the opportunities that arise from new perspectives and one-of-a-kind circumstances. We do not shy away from new ideas but embrace and activate them instead.

Developing partnerships for long-term success.
